Michael Phelps currently holds the world record for the most all time medals which is 28, 23 of them are gold. He also holds the world record for the 100 meter butterfly, 200 meter butterfly, and 400 meter individual medley. At the Rio 2016 Olympics Phelps won 5 gold medals and 1 silver. Phelps stated that this would be his "potential" last Olympics. Phelps said "I'm 30 years old and swimming almost faster than I ever before." Phelps is now happy that he can spend more time with his 4 month old son Boomer. I personally hope that he competes in the next Olympics but that's just my opinion. If this was his last Olympics he ended on a good one with a total of 5 gold medals. Picture Credit: Karen Blaha on Flickr
